“Video of my qualifying run for the 2010 Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez, France. This was my first ever Megavalanche. I started on row two in the first qualifying group. I had four falls in all, one whilst pushing the bike through traffic on the rocky section (watch as two riders just push their bikes over my camera) and three whilst riding. The video was shot using a VIO POV.1 camera mounted to the handlebars.” – Frank Rizzo

Former US Ski Team member Daron Rahlves joins the TGR crew in Alaska during this week’s Almost Live. While everyone is stoked to have him around, the terrain remains unforgiving and Rahlves takes a nasty crash on his first run while skiing a line off the shoulder of a granite feature known as the Devil’s Thumb. As Sage put it, “First run out of the gate, super gnarly exposure ripping the line into a super gnarly crash.” – TGR
