“Rippin on the DH course in Willingen Germany for the first time. This is the last run of the day…and hit the last double way to fast…crash and burn. I make it though…not broken bones.” – Chris
“This week’s Almost Live focuses on what goes into naming each year’s film and explores the meaning of Light the Wick. “Video of my qualifying run for the 2010 Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez, France. This was my first ever Megavalanche. I started on row two in the first qualifying group. I had four falls in all, one whilst pushing the bike through traffic on the rocky section (watch as two riders just push their bikes over my camera) and three whilst riding. The video was shot using a VIO POV.1 camera mounted to the handlebars.” – Frank Rizzo
Former US Ski Team member Daron Rahlves joins the TGR crew in Alaska during this week’s Almost Live. While everyone is stoked to have him around, the terrain remains unforgiving and Rahlves takes a nasty crash on his first run while skiing a line off the shoulder of a granite feature known as the Devil’s Thumb. As Sage put it, “First run out of the gate, super gnarly exposure ripping the line into a super gnarly crash.” – TGR
“Both camera head and recorder were never taken indoors all 10 days, temperatures were -10 to -25 C. More than 8 hours of video was taken on a single set of Lithium batteries, with some charge still left at the end.” – www.sportkamery.cz
