We sent a lucky GoPro staffer to Bali to shoot some footage for our new Surf HERO board-mountable camera. Here we see local Balinese ripper, Wayan, getting his 70's thang on with style...backlit and everythang.

The Surf HERO is a combination of GoPro's new wide angle camera and a mount designed for high impact big wave surfing. These waves are tiny...only about shoulder high. But you can see how well the Surf HERO captures the excitement of even so so surf.

Next stop...Mavericks. It's in our hometown so we're total wussies if we don't charge it. There, I said it. Coming soon...

We met a couple of chill cats while in Bali...one of them was name Preston. Here's one of Preston's first waves with the Surf HERO mounted on the nose of his board. This wave is tiny...chest to shoulder high...and yet the Surf HERO makes it look like the smokin' good time that it was.
