Wide Angle GoPro View from Spec Miata Windsheild

Wide Angle GoPro View from Spec Miata Windsheild

We mounted a Motorsports HERO Wide just to the right of the rear view mirror in a Spec Miata to show you one of the best views in motorsports. Be it a race car or a street car, mounting your wide angle GoPro camera to the right of your rear view mirror with a slight left/down tilt gives you this great view down track while still showing your hands on the wheel.

Driver window suction cup mounted GoPro Motorsports HERO Wide

GoPro picked up a Mitsubishi EVO X to help develop our ever evolving line of on-board motorsports cameras. Since street cars don't have roll bars we include a top of the line suction cup mounting system with the Motorsports HERO Wide camera system. Strong enough to mount on your car's exterior, your plane, your boat, etc...it works perfectly as a window mounted camera to give you a professional "race" like viewpoint of your spirited drives. In this case we're on a walkie talkie scouted backcountry road showing why every rave review of the GoPro Motorsports HERO Wide is right on target.

The EVO X ain't half bad either :-)

Top tip for GoPro customers that want throaty engine sounds with their GoPro camera mounted inside the car. Unscrew the housing lens and save it for when you need the camera to be waterproof or you need to protect the camera lens from flying rocks, etc. Inside the car you don't need it and the sound of your engine will be much louder.

Motorsports HERO Wide mounted on EVO X dash

GoPro recently picked up an EVO X to help develop our Motorsports HERO cameras. Here we're testing the new 170 degree wide angle lens Motorsports HERO Wide camera on a walkie talkie scouted back country road.

Good tip for mounting your GoPro inside of your car. If you want to get throaty engine sound like you hear on this video you should unscrew the glass lens on your camera's quick release housing. Save the lens for when you need the housing to be waterproof or need protection for the cameras lens. There's no need for it inside the car and you will get rad sound like in this video.
